When you give a boy a box...

Our class had so much fun during our "B is for Box" weeks! After reading Not a Box by Antoinette Portis, we put our own smart and creative brains to work...

Hard at work! (I mean hard at "play"...) :)

Sometimes the best thing to do with a box is to simply crawl inside and hang out for a while...

Ben designed our draw bridge, so it could open and close from either the inside or the outside!
Thank you, Ben!

We had fun making bunny puppets to help us retell the story Not a Box...

Our 4th Grade Friends helped us make our individual box projects!

More to come...

Here you go...

The following are some pictures of our collaborative box creations and the fun we had with them afterward...

One thing we learned for sure...

BOXES ARE FUN!!!!

The Power of PLAY!

Play is not just F-U-N...
Play is powerful!
Play provides amazing opportunities for essential learning!  In Begindergarten,
we play hard.
We play often.
This means we are constantly learning...
Learning how to create, build, invent.
Learning how to communicate,
share, problem solve.
Learning how to take turns, enjoy, be a friend.
Enjoy a few of our playful moments over the first couple weeks of school...

Picture Perfect

Yep!  I'd have to say these kids are certainly "Picture Perfect" Begindergarten Kids! Just taking these pictures made me smile...(It took us a while to figure it out! After all, it's a pretty heavy frame!)

YAY!  We've got this!!!  Thanks, Becker!  Now your classmates will know what to do!!!!
You rock! :)

Coming Soon... Nicholas!
